These terms govern your use of byte.co.uk, our stores, our repair services and our mobile app. By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to them. Please read carefully — defined terms are in bold.
Byte Refurb Limited (company no. 12345678, registered in England & Wales) trades as 'byte'. These Terms of Service form a legally binding contract between you (the customer) and us. If anything is unclear, contact us before placing an order.
You may browse without an account, but to place an order, manage warranty claims, or book a repair you need to register. You're responsible for keeping login details secure.
When you place an order we send an order confirmation by email. A contract is formed only once we send a dispatch confirmation. We reserve the right to reject orders (e.g. stock errors, suspected fraud).
Prices include UK VAT. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna and Clearpay. Klarna/Clearpay are subject to their own credit checks and terms.
Standard delivery is free over £50, otherwise £4.99 (DPD next-day where available). Risk transfers to you on delivery. We'll email tracking once dispatched.
You have 30 days from delivery to return any item for a full refund — 50% longer than the legal 14-day minimum. Item must be in the condition received. Return shipping is free for UK addresses.
All refurbished devices come with a lifetime warranty covering all hardware faults — including battery health and liquid damage — for as long as you own the device, with no time limit. It does not cover accidental physical damage (drops, cracks, bent frames), loss or theft, or devices that have been opened or modified by an unauthorised third party.
Trade-in quotes are valid for 14 days. Final value is confirmed after inspection — if our inspection differs by more than 20%, you can request the device back free of charge.
Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the affected product.
These terms are governed by English law. Disputes go to the courts of England & Wales. EU consumers retain mandatory consumer protections of their country of residence.
