50 years of Byte. One independent Apple shop in Solihull.
The Byte name was born in Mountain View in 1975 — the world's first computer retail store, and the people who placed Apple's very first order. We brought it back to the British high street in 2025 from PC World Dixons. Today, byte is a single Apple-specialist shop on Warwick Road. Advice and coffee are always free.
Three things, well.
Hand-checked iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, iMacs and Apple Watches. Every device passes a 40-point test before it's sold.

No call centre. No script. When you ring 0121 758 6215, the person who answers knows the device on your kitchen table.
We're small enough to remember regulars by name, and Apple-specialised enough to spot a refurbished iPhone with a third-party screen from across the counter.
